the sizes are wrong
if you wanna ride real low bars you could buy it 1 1/8 and attach the stem to the top of your steertube.
or if you wanna be real sketchy you can clamp another stock steertube onto your existing stock steertube, then put the stem ontop of that, then put a crossbar in that :S

yes it works but you need:
1 1/8 Tube and a tube which inner diameter is 1 1/8

the Forktube is 1 1/8 so you link the 1 1/8 Tube with the large Tube.
the 1 1/8 tube goes up to the Stem

looked into using it for adjustable bars, its weak tho and there are better stems out there. also, its the wrong size for normal bars.

One of my mates did something similar with a redline stem and some pipe bolted onto the tube with a crossbar in the stem. worked pretty well.

you could make your own steer tube the same as a stock steer tube when it gets thinner, but just make it at the correct height. and you could use a shim if nescessary(sp?)
