Might be a scam, might not be though. You could wait for the check, cash it, than ship it... but than you might get a call from your bank a week later saying it wasn't legit or something. I'd wait to see if someone says they can paypal or pick it up from you.

I dunno, the wording seems a bit sketchy to me. IMO, if you use craigslist, ONLY deal locally with a face-to-face meeting. If and when shipping is concerned, use ebay, because there you can mostly discern between trustworthy and sketchy buyers/sellers...

Ebay is like the same thing as craigslist cept theres no bidding or fees on craigslist. If you use paypal for money transfers your usually safe.

I own SR.
When you advertise on craigslist leave a phone number and say cash only. It is pretty impossible to get scammed that way.

tons of muggings in houston related to people selling cars on craigslist.

test drive, stolen car.
Assuming the person wasn't in the car when it was tested, who the hell would let a stranger drive there car without them in it...

That's not getting scammed, that's being stupid.

The bottom line is: Don't use craigslist if you don't have common sense.
