Hi, I searched for a while and couldn't find any related threads, so if anyone knows of one please PM me or post it here.
So 2004-06 Derbi Boulevard 150 scooter. Bought with a locked immobilizer/CDI box. I replaced it with a Malossi 5512341. It starts and runs well, however for some reason it's seeing 2 ignition trigger events. So, when the motor is at 5000 RPM, the CDI is firing at 10000. Well, this box has a rev limiter at 11.5K, so I'm only able to get 5750rpm before it cuts out. I think this is worth saving because it'll do 35-40mph, however being a 150 should be lots higher. Even changed the oil and brake fluid.
Heres the questions I have
Should I Pull the stator and look for damage?
Does anyone know the kind of signal I should be getting on the trigger wire to the CDI? Frequency? etc
Is it possible that the problem is in the variator/CVT/belt area?
