if you leave them in there long enough yes, but they'll get dirty over time, so they wont stay dark for a long time.

i dye wheels all the time, i dyed a pair of red wheels black and it stays black but you can just see a tiny bit of red when it gets worn down. if you do this you can only use rit dye
