Difference between sealed/unsealed headsets?

I'm new to the whole upgrading thing so I'm not even very sure as to what these do.

Whats the difference between the two? What should I use with my new buff bars? etc

difference between sealed and unsealed: a sealed headset it much more smoother, and a unsealed headset is much more faster, but not as smooth.

Sealed has a sealed cartridge bearing (not as fast but easier to keep clean and running), while unsealed has ball bearings in a cage that run straight onto the race (spins much faster butt harder to keep clean and the cages may crack and break eventually).

Agreed with Justin.
The fact, that unsealed are faster, is useless. Who the hell will do 100 barspins within one air?

Sealed headsets ftw.

if unsealed breakes is like 2.50 dallors to fix it /1 euro
Why do you need a headset that can break?
Why not buy a sealed headset which won't break?

Sealed headsets:
- smoooooth
- no noise
- solid
- strong
- easy to install
- easy to maintain.

just skip a few visits to Burger King and you'll save enough money for a sealed headset.

Sealed is so much better, my main reason for liking them is because they're super quiet and the stupid bearings don't roll all over the place.

Burger King is called Hungry Jacks In Australia
but sealed is better and just ask your local BMX store to get one
