District forks and long ICS bolts

I bought my friends old district forks. I ordered a new ics set( with a long bolt). Will it work with district forks? If not can I make a makeshift bolt because I don't know what size it has to be.

I don't have it yet, but I believe that it is threaded halfway down the bolt. I am not sure. But if it is all the way down, can't I just screw it in a lot so the bolt is all the way in the bars?
