Take a look at my set up on my profile, it's pretty light so that's not the problem. Also I have an old kicker but it's barely above curb height. I mostly think I need to whip it faster an jump higher, but any tips on that?

go faster than you would for a normal whip.Thats how I learned them flat.Just go really fast, jump as high as you can and kck very hard.Use your Wrists

Fubi is right. They are easier going faster. I learned on a TSI Flight, so weight shouldn't be too much of an issue.

I used to ride 19, but found them way to awkward cause I'm only skinny. I now ride 16 wide - whipping fast is not an issue. Thanks for the tip about going fast, I can get them one footed. Any tips to keep it under me? I tried looking at my front wheel, but then I couldnt watch the deck...

For me i feel like i got to lean forward a little because i always land to far back that helps.. for me. But idk a light deck is best, i can't double flat anymore because i went from a rup to a new deck.

Yes, but when I keep it under me halfway through the second whip I lose control and end up falling (this is of a kicker).

Well, what i normally do is lean a tad bit forward when i'm about to start the whip. Then in the air you should go forward a little so it doesn't land crazy in front of you. Maybe try them flyout or off the side of ramp first. The day i learned them off the side of a ramp i tried it off a kicker got it 2nd try. Start higher then gradually go down smaller.
Hope this helps :p.

learn to whip really fast. then find a kicker or quarter and spin it just like a tailwhip but a little bit faster and don't give up on it and you will eventually get it
