It was confirmed that Alex Liiv's stack was because of a malfunction in the manufacture of the rims.
Apparently it would've happened down a 10 stair as well.

it was a problem with the rims, someone did a 360 railhop down a 20 stair on bike, and whiped it

Pretty sure a scooter is going to be able to take more impact than a bike. Think about it. Tires filled with air, rims and a shit load of more metal that can bend vs like a reinforced TSI, grade 8 bolts for the wheels ect.
