I'm interested in picking up a complete scooter after seeing a lot of college friends having a blast on old Razors. I was told that I should check out some good complete setups, and after reading a few threads and doing some research, I have come up with the two I mentioned in the title -- the Envy Prodigy 2014 and the Phoenix Session 4.25. I'm 5'9", and weigh roughly 165.
I'm curious if the $250 Phoenix Session 4.25 is that much better than the cheaper ($180 as of this writing) Envy Prodigy 2014. I used to use an old Razor scooter quite a bit many years ago, but I'm looking for something that is far better built and will last me a number of years. As a college student the $180 price tag is much more attractive than $250.
I will be using this scooter to ride around campus and maybe do some tricks on. There are no skateparks nearby. Which setup would you recommend for a scooter novice? I feel like the Phoenix is probably better, but am I sacrificing a ton by picking up the Envy Prodigy 2014 in its place?
Thank you!
