first good scooter

Hi
I'm buying my 6yr old son a scooter for his birthday, his been riding a razor scooter the last few yrs but now his starting to ride in the local skatepark (quarter/halfpipe railslides etc etc).
I've just started to look into scooters and so much out there I don't know where to start.
Need some tips and suggestions for a scooter.
Its got to look as good as it performs.
Is lighter better?

Razor and Fasen are companies that make completes that are good for young riders. Lighter is better. Bars should be about waist high, if you can't find a scooter with bars his size you can cut them yourself.

The Dominator completes are pretty good, I'd also look at the Phoenix Session completes and the Flavor Awakening completes, both are really good value for what you're getting. As Jason said, try to aim for bars that are about waist height or even just slightly taller will be fine as he is still growing. Ideally you want 110 mm wheels, one piece bars, threadless headset, HIC or SCS compression and a one piece deck thats about 4.5" wide by 19.5" - 20.5" long.

Out of these 3 which one would suit my son
I like the Sacrifice Flyte just because of the 2.95kg's,
How could I find out the weight of the other 2 ????
What is HIC or SCS compression ???

The flavor complete is the only good one out of those 3. I honestly wouldn't even think of the other two...

SCS compression is the system that the Flavor complete uses, it's a lot better system and far safer than the IHC system that the other two completes that you mentioned use.
out of those three the Flavor is easily the best.
