FrID Steel Tree bars

Hi all,
I have a pair of FrID steel tree bars and they took some smashing to get into my scs so I had to stretch it, has anyone else had this problem? I tried with the shim and without and without the bars were to small to fit and with the shim they wouldn't fit

Yes I did cut the clamp part off, so, any help into how these bars take so much push to get in?

if not streatch the clamp out just a alittle and they should go in

Just realised this...
My SCS is done up as tight as it will go but it spins and so do my bars.
BTW my forks stay still

I ride an MGP old version with phoenix forks, scs and steel trees, and I have 2 5mm spacers and a 2.5mm one so if my scs isn't on my forks right then my spacers should spin right? Well they don't so I have no idea what the problem is?

There is an integrated clamp on the steel trees and thats what we mean.

How cleanly did you cut off the clamp? If there is a little bump left, it make be stretching the clamp whenever you put it in to the point where it is not clamping the fork. If there are weld sticky uppies left from you cutting it, grind those off then file the rest to a smooth finish. Otherwise i think you are screwed.

maybe put some tape on your forks to thicken them up, or raw the bars where they are in the scs.
