I'm thinking about trying them this week onto a mattress and it would be nice to get some tips. Like what was it like when you first tried them and that kind of things.

Lean early, when i mean earlyi I mean EARLY! After the lean curl up into a ball type figurine. And land! My first time was sketch cuz it was to concrete and leaned too late

Thanks! Did any of you under rotate a lot? I'm wondering if the spin will just come naturally since I'm really used to doing them on my feet

yeah at first i under rotated a bunch, you just want more speed than you think, and you are going to get quite a bit of distance doing it so make sure the mat is in the right spot.

Thanks, I guess it will be kinda hard to figure out where to put the mat but I could maybe try to bring 2 just in case. Any more tips?

That's what happens if you get floppy dick syndrome halfway through committing to the rotation.

Commit, and chances are you will come out of it fine, even if you don't land it. Oh yeah, and don't let go. Personally I've never tried a front flip, but the same generic 'Commit and don't back out halfway through rule' would still apply.

USE the lip. Nose manny kinda up it. but do not throw your upper body over the bars and pencil. when you used the lip keep your arms straight out in front of you (get in a ball) which will make spinning so much better and quicker.

Thanks that makes so much more sense than some other stuff people have said. Like in one tutorial this guy said you should try to make your head touch the frontwheel and he went like 1 cm from the ground. Way too sketchy technique.

Yeah do not throw your head towards your front wheel at all. You want your head to be behind your bars. not in-front.

Exactly what ztkAZ said, you want to huck the frontflip pretty early on the ramp. Curl into a ball and also try and bring your feet to your butt, it'll help the rotation alot.

^^^this is my 5th try to concrete lol just throw the flip like a foot before you hit coping, if you hit coping then just ditch the flip right before you hit the ground you'll land on your feet(most of the time) and in the middle of the flip you'll just know if your spinning too slow and not guna make it, so if that happens ditch it again right before you hit concrete and you should land on your feet
