fsa pig headset question

I own SR.
If you have no idea what you are doing then take it to a bike shop and they can do it in 20 minutes. If you try and do it yourself and do it wrong you could damage the cups, the bearings, the races, the forks or the headtube then you are screwed. When you are at the bike shop just ask them how to do it and if they have any tips for the next time you have to do it then you can try it yourself.

Errr yeah bring it to the bike shop if you want to be safe but if you are adventurous or the bike shop does not want to fix scooters, here are the steps I used.
1) Take a flat headed screw driver or something like that and put it on those stock Razor headset cups. Hammer the cups out. You should know where to point the screw driver if you don't have mental probs lol.
2) Put the FSA cups in place. I suggest bottom on first as it as hard as hellll to hammer it in. Take a wooden board or some crap and put it on top of the cup. Hammer down onto the board. The reason for a board is so that when you hammer down, the force is evenly spreaded out and that will have no or less chance of bending those cups.
3) do the same for the top and make sure those cups go in 100% its not good to leave it not 100% in like mine.
4) At the fork, theres this metal ring. Hammer that ring out and put in your new FSA one.
5) follow instructions which will be given together with the headset. ITs inside the box.
I hope you had the patients to read this and understand it. Sorry to type such a long thing.

but if you hammer in the headset it gets destroid. If the headset is presed in it fixes much better and is easier to move, cause it's fixed correctly, but every body can do it his way,...farmboy UK said:
if you don't want to get into the bikeshop, get two woddenplates about 4-5 cm,(little bigger than the headsset a big screw or a threded bolt, 2 spacery and 2 nuts.
drill a hole in the middle of the wooden plates (as big as the bolt or the screw is) .
take you scooter hold the headset you want to put it in and put it between the wooden plates, then put the screw or the threadded bolt through
then start to screw the nuts on. the headset will slowly get pressed in.
takes the same time as hammering,... but is much better...
Tip: the diametre of the screw should be as big as possible

yeh they are as light as a stock headset aswell but soooooo smooth. you have to get them in perfectly straight though or they don't spin fast as they don't have normal round bearings they have roller bearings
