Getting a t3i for christmas

I'm new to dslrs
It will be for filming so i though a 6.5mm lense from opteka would be fine
Im buying the package so i get the other lense
should i get filters or anything else?

Get a t2i. T3i's are just a waste of money for no difference in quality.

I dont think so....Have you ever used a t2i? Not having a flip screen is such a bummer. I would do it dude! A 6.5 would be perfect too.

I find no problem with them. i use one.

so do my filmer and i. its pretty damn hard to get good angles and see what it looks like.

I love the flip screen on my t3i. It is useful more often than you think.

yeah flip screen is sooo helpfull un so many situations, its the only thing i wish my new camera had over the t3i

i would get a UV filter for your kit lens so its protected.
A camera BACKPACK as it makes everything easier.
CLASS 10 sd card (if it doesnt come with one)

Not at all. Its a great lens. Just learn how to use the Aperture ring/focus ring. I use them all the time.
