My new one piece bars are 450mm wide. And i was wondering, how the hell am i supposed to do any sort of tricks with them. I used to be able to barspin and x-up but now i cant, im not used to the bars. Any of you ever felt this when you got your bars or is it only me?

well i dont really like wide bars.
even though i like tuck no handers i can do them on stock bars so width doesnt make a difference there.
however i do barspins and trundowns and stuff which i find harder with wide bars so im only riding 16 wide.

I ordered some bars from lucky a little bit ago. I never saw a place to designate bar sizes so I'm afraid their gonna come like 24 wide. I have pondered on if my bar spins would be affected. I'll tell you when they come.

my bars are 430 mm and getting used to them took about 2 days, i could still do x ups, tailwhips took likean hour to get used to, and barspins took me a few days ;] but in general im a lot happier with wider bars, learnign 540's is sooo much easier than on stock bars, and they just feel better =]]]]

When you bar with wider bars just focus on keeping your knees bent and your weight back. This way the bars should spin over your knees or miss your legs.

I had to adjust when I went from stock to 18 inch wide. Which was a big jump for me seeing as the widest I've ever gone was 15 wide. I'm still gaining my confidence back on barspins since I stopped doing them for so long once I got my 18's. Just keep riding them, you'll adjust. If you have to, practice your barspins on flat or out of a launch before you try on quarters or boxes. Just to get the confidence back. Aside from barspins, very few tricks are effected as far as I'm concerned. In my opinion, most other tricks actually feel better with wide bars.

Why the jump to 18's? I ride 16's so I was just curious why you would go up if you rode 15's for so long. Glad you switched?

I wanted to try something new. Also wanted to see if wider bars would change the look of my style. I went from 15's, which I loved, to stock because I sold my RAD's and snapped a custom clamp for some prototype Razor bars. But now that I have ran 18 wide for so long, I want to go back to either 15's or at the widest, 16's. I miss doing barspin to indy and turndowns, haha.

wide bars make fakie and spin tricks sooooo much easier but for bar spins/ x ups u have to move your waiste out of the way

wtf 18wide is way good, barspin are imo easier on 18 wide then stock-15 and just moved to 20 and didnt change anything, anddd i can still bartwist flat so no problems there.

EXACTLY
i rode stocks for a longg ass time, then moved to 16 which felt like sex, then i moved to 20 for a while and it was a lil wierd cuz my bars were too low, but when i moved down to 18 it was perfect.
Wide bars make barspins SO much easier, i cant even single bar on stocks. i have to like double bar haha. and tucks, whips, spins, fakies, grinds, scooterflips, scooterfakies, etc. are all easier on wider bars. So basically no negatives for me.

I think it's going to be pretty unique for each rider, I rode 15 wide all summer and tried 18 wide once and wasn't feeling it, just made a new set up 2 weeks ago with 20 wide and for some reason fell in love with the width the first time riding that wide

I personally think barspins/turndowns look much better with wide bars, I didn't notice any change in bri difficulty, if anything it became easier for me, not that they are a trick of choice for myself

if you feel like you want/are ready for wider bars go for it, just don't do it because you hear that everyone else is or if someone is pressuring you to
