grinding metel

wats the quickest way to file down about 3x 1cm pieces of metal
i did one of them with a graterish thing and it took an hour.
i was wondering if there was a quicker way to do it

i have two freebord trucks

i want to file off abput .5-.75 of a cm from right above the axel.
if i do this i will be able to use it like a freebord(when the wheel is in) and a longboard(w/out the wheel)

right now the metal piece drags the ground when no wheel is in it

even though it looks like it theres no easy way to take it off/put it on
u need to grind it (or break it off which i dont want to do)

Use a grinder. It'll be the quickest way. Other than that you'll probably need to do some hard labor with a file.

A grinder is a pretty specific tool, sir...

And it's best to use a fatter blade and to 'push' through the metal a little bit at a time, rather then using it like a file.

you could use a hack saw and just cut em off instead of grinding
