Hand Grips help

I looked and I'm pretty sure there isnt another topic about this, that said.....I am contimplating the purchase of some nice BMX grips for my scooter--however--I'm not entirely sure how to apply them, i.e. get them on the bars. I thought of grease but that would probobly make them slip. Any imput would be helpful

basicly any liquid the grips I have on now I didnt feel like getting some windex so I just unscrewed some orange powerade and used that and it dried pretty quick

Yeah most things work, I used WD-40 on my ODI Longnecks on my bike and the instant I stopped moving them they were solid, it was pretty insane.

if you dont have an air compressor (which most people dont), seal off the end of your handlebar that has the button on it (and seal the button hole as well) and stick a bike pump into the end of the grip. then, slide it on as far as you can by hand. get someone to start pumping the air into the end of the grip, and pull it onto the bar. the pump will force the air to go between the grip and the bar, because the other end is sealed off. and viola! ghetto bike pump air compressor. =)

I get chuck norris to stare at them and tell them to go on, and dare them to disobey him...Or if good ol' chuck isn't available at the moment, I use muscle to get them on, or if yous a girly man, then use hairspray I guess...

you could cover the one end of the grip with your hand and exhale into the grip a good 2-3 times and it creates moisture in the grips and they slide right on

Well on this topic... I have grips that slide on really hard and will stay tight on the grips for awhile. But after awhile they start getting loose and sliding around. I bought grip-lock stuff from dans comp and if i put it on the grips it makes it impossible to slide it back on. Any suggestions for making it easier to slide on without ruining the griplock stuff?

me and my friend used a regular bike pump, not a air compressor to get one on once.

what you do is you put your hand over/ on the opposite bar of the one you're putting on, and you get the grip as much as possible on with manpower, then you stick air pump into the end of the grip, get someone to pump it like a beast, then while stopping air from coming through the other side, you pull it on, and in a few runs, it usually goes right on.

the air goes in between the grip and the bar, creating a natural ?lubrication? or sorta just a space between it, and it should go on real easy.
