Headset Top Cap stuck?

So my tilt headset top cap is real stuck on. I mean i can get it off but i have to hammer my forks out and i have to hammer the top cap back on. Anybody have any solutions? I don't think its bad but its just kinda annoying.

It should come off fairly easy I would check and see if there bent.

Rub a little bit of oil on the inside of it to lubricate it, works for me and if you put it on a little bit crooked it wont slide on easily.

maybe your forks are bent

Instead to hammering the fork out just place the top of the forktube on the floor then apply preasure to the bottom of the deck. This will prevet long term damage to your fork. And as for getting it off I would apply some grease and pry it off then either remove the black rubber ring or just swap out your top cap
