Help on new scooter project

Hi everybody out there,
a new scooter will soon enter the market and it will come with a replaceable grind plate. This will allow riders to slide on the side of the footplate and log on rails with the large groove underneath without damaging the deck. Some of you who ever saw USD aggressive skates might know what I meant. Currently I can not upload any images, but I will try tomorrow. If you still have an opinion about please let me know? Does is limits the trick or does it even helps?
All opinions are welcome.
By the way, the company who will bring out this scooter is still looking for team members. If any of you is interested post here.

Andrew Broussard was riding a scooter he made for awhile with replaceable grind plates. He dropped the idea with his new deck design though and I think he states why in the video but I can't remember the reason.

dont have a groove on the deckplate please, it will get caught easy wenn grinding and in order to have a groove on the plate would mean the plate would be huge so there would be less clearence between the deck and the ground, im just sayin'

That grind plate is horrible and is will end up in some major face plants. The whole groove/wave idea is going to ruin grinds for people. It needs to be flat.

yeah no, you need to take the groove out, then itll be really good, but the groove makes it terrible
