help with the video quality

i have i good camera that takes good video but when i upload the video to windows movie maker and then to youtube the video quality gets reall bad any suggestions on a diffirent movie maker or some thing?

happens to me to when i uploaded it with the software my camera came with it was
720p now with windows movie maker its only 480p
