i'm not gonna tell you what to get, but i will tell you this. theyre both around the same wieght. people say that HIC is lighter, and it probably is, marginally, but the bigger diameter downtube means more metal, which is heavy. and it's chromoly so it adds a lot of weight if your bars are very high.

prolly get scs cos its cheaper overall. with hic you need oversize bars. unless you already got oversize bars. in that case get scs anyway

if you work with them they both can be dialed but i think scs would be cheaper because if you already have bars you can just cut slits off and it comes with starnut, cap, and compression bolt so ur set

yea dude get hic, having a weak slit that a ton of people break is awesome. you dont want to have that pesky reliability that comes with an scs. even though scs is an overall better compression system, you should still get hic because it looks better.

If you already have bars, get SCS.

If you're getting new bars, get HIC bars.

If you don't care and want the best one, get SCS.

I've had HIC and SCS. Both are dialled.

You're on crack. Chromoly is a light form of steel. At max you only ad a few grams to the weight. Nothing in comparison to an SCS.

HIC is lighter, Less fuss, Super simple to use

If you can't handle the "weight" of an SCS, there's always baby SCS, which is light as hell.
and if you cant handle that...

I just switched to SCS from HIC.
I like SCS better so far(im riding my friends scs).
Spins faster, and is just dialed overall, and you can use non oversized, and oversized. its the shit.

i say get scs cuz its going to last u alot longer and by learning how to use it, u can dial it just the same as hic. theyre both good compressions but scs gives u that choice to use both standard/oversized bars with it (if u get the full sized scs). and yes scs is heavier but imo, i like that extra weight in the front because its easier to whip with it front heavy. its all preference really. try other people hic bars or scs and see wht u like best.
