home-made full plastic core?

My dad is a plastic welder and i have some old yak low-pros so i was thinking of welding some extra spokes in and then welding some flat pieces of plastic over the top...
i think il make a proto-type but not 4 while.

watchya think?

yeah alright when i have some spare time and my dad is around........and i have a camera.
 
just like fill in the spokes like your hot gluing it and then make it all flush so its stronger than just a couple spokes. you could like melt the plastic and poor it in...

Yeah far out you should do it. I wanna get aliminum and drop weld it into the gaps on a stock wheel... That would be awesome...

i tried it.
Its real hard. you cant curve the plstic to seal it up
and the plastic like dips into the gaps in-between the spokes.
It maade it stronger but it doesnt look clean or anything like you would expect.
