If you have a cheap headset that is the way to go but if you have anything expensive on your scooter take it to your local bike shop and have them pull it out... especially if you have aluminum cups. The screw driver will mess up the back of the cup and gouge the inside of the head tube... nothing a file and sandpaper couldn't fix but if you are going to spend the money you might as well do it the right way. Plus when you pound them out back and forth like that you can start to ovalize the headtube which will loosen the headset or make it sit uneven which won't allow it to spin properly as opposed to having it pulled straight out. None of that really matters on a normal basis though because there is no need to take your cups out unless you are changing decks or changing headsets... don't just take them out and put them back in for the hell of it or it will start wearing out the headtube. Keep them in until something breaks and you have to change or replace them.Madis said:just take a flat-headed screwdriver and put it in the necktube, screwdriver's head against the cup. Then take a hammer and hit the handle of the screwdriver.
