How to get a starnut out?

No sure where to put this thread soo.

Im trading a friend for his bike parts and i need to know how to take out my starnut from my forks and make it still able to work and go into his . Ty ;D

Just drill the center out if he is using ics. But leave it if not.

once a start nut is in, it's in and you need to break it to take it out unless you can push it through. either way just get a new startnut they're like a dollar.

take a flat head screw driver or a punch and break off all the prangs on it and it should just fall out

isn't there a better word for it than prangs? maybe points. It is a star and all.

ive took many out just take something thin and hard that fits between the gaps in the little wing things and bend them all up then it should be alot easier to rip out

I have bent the flanges of one and pulled one out then reinstalled it several times. Just pry at it with a flat head.
