If you're bending over a lot

seriously raise your bar height
I raised my bar height by an inch and a half and it made everything like twice as easy.
It also makes everything look twice as steezy and contributes to your style.
so yah, if your back hurts after riding for a few hours, RAISE YOUR BAR HEIGHT.
Just sayin...

nevarrr.

look at dan barrett's style, he used to be a high bar gross rider but lowered them a ton and has ridiculous style now.

i think it kinda depends on the rider though.

i personally think that your bars should be just high enough so that when you stand straight up on your scooter that you dont have to bend over. I made the switch to high bars they day before SD3 and it helped me receive 4th place in my 2nd comp ever and im not even a park rider.

imo, they should be so that if you put both your feet on the ground beside the deck, and stand up completely straight, your hands should be able to touch the bars if you let them hang at your sides.

get an SCS then, and ask andrew not to cut slits in your bars then so you can use it with the SCS because it adds 2 inches onto your bar height.

If you look at true style bosses like Stan, Cary, Alex Steadman and Coedie, they all have bars that dont have them bending over like Dan Barrett.
No offense to Dan's riding, hes still an awsome rider

those guys all ride like bmx though.

Eric Ostrom is steezy as fuckk and is def taller than me (I'm 6'1ish", and we both ride 20 high 16 wide.

I agree that anyone that rides bmx style needs taller and higher bars, but don't ever say that short bars automatically mean you have no style

I'm not totally against people riding low bars, but only to a certain extent. Like Josh Young, sorry bro but your bars are way too low. That's like Dan Warwick status. I remember Brian used to ride them super low too (still does for his height if I remember correctly), and it just looks bad. I think as long as you're not bending over super far then you're fine.

On the other hand, riding bars that are too tall for you looks really dumb too.
