inspiration

srry if there is already a thread about this but... what is your inspiration for scooters like what make you start scooting?

Well, I pulled out my Ski-Skoot (madd scooter) a year ago and started whipping with it and it reminded me of years ago and now I'm like half decent with a good scooter haha.

A video i saw of Razor Team and a video i saw of Matt Andrus.

woah, that makes me so happy

I started riding because back when they first came out in like 99 or 00 or whatever, i didntknow anyone was doing tricks on them, so when i was doing doublewhips and crap, it felt good to be starting something completally new... then i mixed my bmx influence into scootering, which, some people claim no one was donig at the time, except mabye josh, but his was more of a..... skater, bmx style... i dunno, so it motivated me to try to stand out more

and then martin kimbell, pate, and walker were so sexy at riding that it inspired me too

I was at sleepaway camp in like august 2000, and some kid had left his scooter lying around in this big ass barn that they used for assemblys and stuff. so i picked it up, and i was like YOO THIS THING IS COOL LOOKING!! at the time, i was HUGE into skateboarding, so as any skater knows, when you find something with wheels, you try and do tricks on it. anyway, i picked it up and was riding it around. i was like jumping and stuff, and i did a feeble stall on this bench. i was like HOLY SHIT THIS IS AMAZING! I WANT ONE!!

so for the rest of camp i really wanted one. when i came home, my parents had gotten me an A1 as a coming home present, and i flipped out in happiness. I've been riding ever since. so in essence, that kid who left his scooter in the barn at my sleepaway camp almost 8 years ago is my inspiration. thank you random kid. i love you.

Me father bought me JD Bug MS130B 3 or so years ago. I had knew nothing about tricks or the community that exists today, I just were "stealing" tricks from BMX and skateboard and thinking that I am the best scooter rider in the world lol. Sweet days...
Summer 2005. June. I landed my first tailwhip and non-sketchy 360. I progressed a bit that year, then I found Ryan's website, then I found Micro, I learned some new shit and released my first mini. It was really disgusting but I didn't care, I was happy.
So.... My father's present + my desire to make something new + Ryan's and Martin's (yea, Kimbell's mini was the first mini I've ever seen) trick lists made me what I am.
