Is Hic really lighter than SCS?

I did some research on this because i was considering going hic because I'm a park rider and lighter is awesome XD. i know many told me hic was lighter but in the end its a meaningless 0.3 or 0.2 pound difference. is hic really that much lighter?

It's more balanced. Weight more evenly distributed.

A light unbalanced scooter is harder to ride than a heavier one with weight more evenly distributed. SCS is a chunk of weight in an awkward spot.

For simple questions, ask them in the this or that thread or scootgossip. No reason to make a new thread for a question.

But no, HIC is not much lighter than SCS, especially if you have a quad clamp. I prefer scs, its easier, and stays tighter than hic

At the end of the day, do what you want. But HIC is more balanced than SCS. Weight more evenly distributed over an extended surface vs more weight in one spot than the rest.

I've ridden both. I prefer HIC. That's just me. Everyone is different.

just one thing. many talk about the slit on the bottom causing the bars to break faster than scs bars. is this something i should worry about?

Yes.

Let me put it this way:
Over the years not just as a rider, but as a scootershop mechanic/dork I've seen tons of notched bars (both standard and HIC) cracked & snapped at the bottom because they had a slit. I'm sure you've seen a couple as well yourself. But have you seen any broken notchless bars because they were in an SCS? I haven't.

Properly installed SCS kits eliminate a weak spot and if you abuse your scooter enough over time, it will find another weak spot, e.g. crossbars, forktubes, etc. depending on the brand and its quality.

Yea. Everyone is diffirent, people DO have preference.
Preference to either go safe or to risk snapping $100 bars.

You do know that in comparison that SCS and HIC are not even remotely light compared to ICS
If money or breaking parts is not a problem then i can show you what is actually light.
Why i say that is since the parts you have mentioned are not light at all except le baron forks and im gonna sounds like an asshole here but chances are you don't know enough about scooters to need or know how to set-up truly light stuff and you will probably complain that shit flexes and bends too easily once you do get it and ride it like your normal weighted scooter.
you were warned.

If you feel its not a light setup then what do you think is?
