Is there a reason scooter wheels are not bigger than 100mm?

Should Scooters be bigger than 100mm?

I haven't really seen them much bigger than that, it seems weird with them being intended for little kid and now there are bigger decks and it just look and probably feels weird. That is the reason I stopped riding like 10 years ago, the scooters are too small. I was thinking they should be at least 150mm. Just a thought.

Here are some wheels a found. Anyone know what they would be used on?

110mm is the industry standard now. I don't even remember the last time I saw a 100mm haha. Some wheels have gone up to 125mm but everyone I know personally who has ridden them say they feel nice at first, but they just start to get in the way after a while, and they end up going back to 110mm.

110 have been the standard for the last couple of years. Hep Greg had a signature 125mm eagle 7 or 8 years ago which is the first wheel that I can really remember of that size. Bigger wheels are faster so they are always a good thing, I can see 120mm becoming standard in the future. Just need one deck and fork manufacturer game enough to design the first products to fit.

Even 110s were a pain the beginning because you had to file forks and run brakeless just to get them to fit.

I was buying 841 Enzo 125mm wheels for a while, then the shop I was ordering from said they were sold out and the wheel was no longer being made. I ended up finding them at skatepro.com for like half price. I guess they lowered the price to clear out their remaining inventory. I bought the last 26 they had. That shop still has 15 wheel choices in the 120-125mm range.
