oh my........ lol
the purpose of being sponsored is to communicate with the community as much as possible
that is why companies make a facebook, a website, a youtube account, a twitter, and so on
It isn't to be cocky its to cover all the bases. There are some riders that have a facebook but no sr account or an twitter but no facebook. I know that may sound hard to believe but its true. Now if you want to tell the world about your company then you got to reach out every possible way. For the facebook fanpage thing: remember all these riders and company owners are real people with their own lives and friends. They don't want to add ever kid on facebook or talk to them all because its time consuming. I get so many video and emails for Impact already ( i can't even picture how much inside does)that i never get to them all, no matter how much i try and dedicate time to. So you create a facebook fanpage to funnel all videos questions all that through a source. So you only have to look at one or a few sources and you can update must of them all at once notifying large numbers of people . Back in the day Pro Scooter rider was just a title, it didn't meant much except for you got free parts. Now its a job where they have requirements for and this is only a sign that the sport is getting bigger. Its up to the community to decide if they want to support. It doesn't take much to like something on facebook because when the owners see the community getting connected and involved then they will invest more if not, then our sport will die like rollerblading currently is
so the choice is yours......................
