Listen up, kids.

I know these types of threads are usually pointless and hardly make a dent in the community, but i'm posting this anyway.

We as a sport, and as a community, are too divided. everyone is cold towards each other. there is too much hatred and arrogance within us. we need to be UNITED. we cannot fight with each other, that will divide us further. we need to HELP one another, and promote positivity within our sport. we cannot allow each other to be mean or hateful towards our own. we're all in this sport for the same reasons, because we all love to ride. if you dont like something or someone, dont fight with them, just ignore them. i know its hard, especially when you're younger to maintain this type of relationship with everyone around you, i used to feel the same way.. but we have to try. we need to support one another, and help each other when the opportunity arises. for example: if someone posts a simple question on a forum, instead of bashing, hating, and name calling, simply just step up and answer their goddamn question. if you dont like something posted, dont post in that thread or just post a constructive criticism. WE NEED TO HELP ONE ANOTHER.

80% of you are going to come in here, post that you agree with me, and then go into another thread and call someone a fucking noob because they dont know what size bolt they need for an axle, or something so minor that can simply be answered in a one sentence post. the more you bash people in threads like this, the longer they stay at the top of the forum. if you simply answer the question, the person will thank you, and the thread will fade in a matter of days, leaving room for the more interesting questions. the whole fucking reason that our forums exist is for us to LEARN. there's no fucking classes in school about how to assemble a scooter, or how to do a trick. we need to teach EACH OTHER.

i really hope you all gain some positivity, and a new persepctive from reading this post, and i hope to see some positivity on this forum in the near future. we're long overdue for it. thanks for your time.

very true
i try to help people as much as i can, but something tells me there will always be a conflict between newcomers and the older riders, because the concept of seniority seems to be valued in this community

The sad thing about this is most of the people who joined 09 and before are usually not the ones who are bashing. It is the people who joined a couple of months ago and understand everything now but don't seem to remember when they asked the questions that they are bashing.

this is very true people should work together...the more we yell at someone the more time for them to get the answer witch means that the more time wasted on the thread.....and now thinking about this is mods could have a group of threades or for an ex: rob's job is now to watchover the selling post to make sure everything is going smooth and if something goes wrong then he should try to fix it....and so on. this could really help people. what do people think about this idea??

Completely true. Theres enough hate on us from most skaters and bikers, etc., already. We don't need more of it within. One of the major problems is hating on someone who's new. I was pretty mean to muse-phoenix due to her amazing setup, and the fact that she's just starting. And although hypocritical sounding, thats a good example of what we shouldn't do.

People hate on kids who are just starting and aren't as good as them, when they should be giving them tips constantly on how to do something, and not one upping them left and right.

People hate on kids who have only been on SR for a year or two. They generalize that the 2010ers are stupid and annoying, to the point that I just edited my sig saying that I really have been into scootering for 3-4 years now, so people don't start fucking with me.

It's the pointless crap that isn't supported by fact, but supported by generalization that needs to go.

So far everything with me has been good. I am a newcomer to the SR forums, and nobody has bashed me yet and i haven't bashed anyone else for the matter. But yes, i have seen some cases where people just need to calm down and stop bashing others.

i was targeting everyone, theres plenty of pro riders who are complete assholes. if you agree with my post, then do something to make a change, dont just say you agree and then go on doing the same shit.

this issue NEEDS to be changed, this isnt something that can be ignored.

No. We need to help one another. If you see someone bashing on someone else, step in and dont let it happen.
