yea always use it as otherwise if you don't when you tighten the axle your dropouts/fork can rub on the wheel and do the allen key thing that gary said thats what i do

USE IT!!

almost a year ago i thought i didnt need it so i took it out (it was the front wheel) and when i tightend my wheel the core cracked and my wheel went super slow it would barely move and i stupidly went to drop in my friends quater and i flew over the bars cuz my wheel stopped.

yea lol, i love nose mannys, and it wasnt it nad my sooter was so slow, then went to try 2 foot nose mannys wit both feet on deck, then did a nose manny and fell, learn by mistakes.

if you dont use them when u tighten ur wheel ur bearings will squeeze together causeing them no not roll as fast as they should..just stick a smaller size allen key in

Yeah I used to not use them because I was lazy but I learned my lesson. Actually I just put them back on and realized it was a lot better.

i dont use it and i still ride plenty smooth
With it out, tighten your wheel until you cant tighten anymore, your wheel probably wont spin good. Put it in, tighten it as much as you can, your wheel probably will spin ALOT better

Oh sick because when i didnt have em in the well would just stop spinning thanks guys
cheers

use it.
your a dumbass if you have problems getting them in.
get a philips head screw driver small enough to fit threw, push it threw one side, it should hold the spacer in the right spot, and then push the axle threw the otherside, using the axle to push the screw driver out.

You can just use the allen key you use for the bolt too
