Hey so I'm trying to get into scootering, and right now all I have is a piece of shit Razor that I've had for years.I'm looking for a scooter that is built tough and can hold a big guy like me. I'm not fat btw, I'm just one of those bigger stockier guys (muscle), but I love riding scooters, and I want to get myself one. It has to be something around $100-150, and I know most good scooters are like $300, but I don't have that kind of money right now. And a friend might sell me his District scooter, would that be fine for me? Thanks guys. P.s. The only ones I've found that are around my price range are Grits Scooters on inwardscooters.com

You would destroy a district in like an hour. If you can, try to get a TSI deck. As far as breaking things, decks and forks should be really strong to have a sturdy setup, so focus on those.

I am 6ft 3 and 210lbs. I am shreddin on a razor ultra pro black label all stock besides bars. It handles my fat ass just fine. Hardest part was finding bars that were comfortable. Get a rup and upgrade the wheels bc razor wheels get wrecked in like less than a week. The black label wheels are holding up ok so far.
