Magazine Progression (Pictures Wanted!)

Ok so I am progressing nicely with this magazine and need some more things. Please, if you would like to do anything PM me.

March 5 update

I still need:

Something like a product review, i was thinkin someone could give a review on ADA Buff Bars when they come out. It would have the specs of everything and a general review of the feel and such.

Someone to do an article w/pics about the TIC comp. If like a bunch of riders could be interviewed about it that would be killer.

More team ads

A section where teams can sell their t-shirts, bars, stickers, etc.

I was also thinking maybe we could put some things about knowpeds/gopeds, to appeal to those riders.

Thats all I can think of now, please volunteer to do something. I really want this to work, and it would be a huge step forwards for this sport. I would mean a lot to me and I'm sure it would mean alot to others too.

also I need a name. I personally like Inside Scooters but i would like some ideas too.

Thanks,

Jordan

Casey Murphy, Mike McGowan, Ryan Young, David Nichols, Reeves, Me, uhh Shelby G...? , James Barrett, Phil Lagettie, Martin, and i can't really think of anyone else with decent/good cameras. But also there can be people taking pictures with crappier cameras the settings just have to be right. If Martin is interested I think he is probably the #1 photographer who visits this site.

as far as a "your gnarly setup " thing, it could be like something i saw in a paintball magazine were riders would submit pics of their setups and the specs and if yours was the gnarliest it would get featured in the magazine for that month??? and from other skate mags. at the end of the mag you could have like skatparks listings that allow scooters from every state if possible??

I've already contacted 4 of those people, and I'm still writing PMs. I might PM you for this one thing, I'll think about it.

I don't know how well that first part would work, I doubt very many people would send in pics and besides, most people already post their scoot on SR. That would be cool about the skatepark thing, I kindof have a feature already that does that, for one area per issue. And this will only be like 3 issues a year.

An ad sounds good. I don't really want another interview atm, probably for the next issue that would be good. Also if I could ask you a few questions on your teams video that would be cool. Just PM me if thats alright.

Thanks for the idea, but I don't think I'll have a "featured person" or anything like that. Just a few interviews, and someone on the front cover of course.

OK Brian said that there's people who are better than him at layouts and that junk, whoever is good at that please stand up.

Well id say you want variety and as i dont know which 4 you have contacted (like say mike and casey both want to do it) ... they live basically in the same spots and shoot the same riders. A small point to bring up though. I'm not great at writing article-style things so if pictures don't happen then idk what other way i could contribute. I want it to work this time. Let me know.

and reeves uses some programs that might be useful to this project.... although i doubt he'd be willing to dedicate time into doing it. maybe...

What I think I would want you to do Dibbs is send in some pics for an "Amature" picture section. Anyone could send in pics, so long as your not like pro haha.

Yeah try to see if reeves would be willing to make a layout. Thats really the biggest thing I need right now.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEVES
I would be willing to do it, its just that most magazines dont have just 1 layout..they have many different layouts..one for each section, like 1 for interviews, 1 for reviews, etc. and even then they are somewhat based on what is going to be on the page..like what picture is going to be used, so they know where to place it, what to do with the text, etc.
also im really busy with school work, right in the middle of my "hell term" as they call it..but yea..I'll see what I can do..unless you need it done real soon..in that case then im not your guy

ADNpro

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEVES
for the team ads, you should just have each team (or atleast the bigger teams) make up a full page ad and then those can be placed throughout the mag..also..what size is the mag going to be?..so I know for when I start the layout
