have you ever ordered a scooter off, say, mitchell's collectibles and recieved a shock fork that has about a foot !amazed of threading? are you running low on forks? are you bored? if so, this tutorial is for you.
first of all, this is the final product:
first off, make sure you have the correct nuts and bolts to complete this project. (they must be around the same as the ones i used)
k, lets get started.
A and B: get all the shock shit out and make it nice and empty for the next step.
C: obtain a drill bit of about this size and diameter, or one the matches the diameter of the bolts you are using.
D: place the drill bit into the opening shown here. drill all the way through, but dont take the drill out yet.
E: drill into the top part the used to hold the shock a little bit, this is so the bolt can get nice and tight.
F: thread the bolt and nut on just like i did here (on both sides of the fork).
G: hand tighten the nut down as far as you can with your fingers. (you can add as many nuts as you can, but i didn't beacuse this scooter was for a friend of mine )
H: find the correct wrenches that fit around the bolt and the nut and continue to tighten (righty tighty) until you see fit (must be tight, but if it's too tight, it may break, i tighten it until i have to strain to tighten any more)
WHAM! DONT FORGET TO REINFORCE IT THOUGH...
