Mild steel bars?

I dont no actually but ive made some bars out of mild steel just need to weld them soo i hope there strong, but they dont really feel that heavy.

yer there pretty strong i guess.... there not to much heavier then cromo tho........ but yer the wieght should b alrite

they are heavy and they will bend and break. i had 17 wide 21 high mild steel one piece bars and the crossbar bent and the steerer tube snapped off just above the clamps.

chromoly and steel are the same strength however chormoly is lighter i make all my bars out of mild steel but most people only use chromoly but depending on how thick the steel u use is that will determine the strength and weight as well as how good the welds are

my scooter weighs 7 lbs with chromo bars, metalcores, and a little added weight from a welded fork.

hardly noticeable.

chromoly is lighter than steel and much stronger too. You could make bars out of steel if you arent worried about weight, but from what ive seen, they have a good chance of bending after a while.

Your best bet is some chromoly bars, you will outgrow them before you break them.

i ordered vipers, which are mild steel, ive heard theyve only been bent by cory giesler (the viper bars) and hes like an insane rider...

oooh so ryan... you make bars outta mild steel are they good? Like.. How easy will they bend and how heavy are they compared to say seasoned?
