I know there's a lot of threads made by kids that want to talk about their grips. But I want to know, are they really that great? I've personally never used any so I'm asking if I should switch to bmx grips. Please help me.

well lemme give u my experience

foam grips

foam grips were really comfortable and soft especailly stock pro model ones
but they started to wear out after about a week and about 2 weeks later i started getting holes in them

my new animal edwin grips (bmx grips)

they are great very grippy and soft and im sure they wont get holes until i ride them for a bout 9 months

i ride duo homans but thats just my personal preference
buy a couple pairs of different grips to try them out.
that what i did and just used the others for backups

but get some ODI longnecks, they are the best. animal edwins will wear out pretty quickly.
what he said. and at one point i though foamies were the best until I rode a pair of odi long necks for the first time. It was love at first sight.

ODI's are great.
Animal edwins are nice but wear out too fast.
Foamies rip and suck, no offese
Duo Homans are basically different shaped edwins.

Try to get your hands on some adam hauck grips, they're gnar, grippy and last foreverrrr

ODI <3

Edwins kick ass. I ride with gloves, and mine only wear out every half year or so. They are sooo comfy. Alot more give then the ODIs, but with about the same amount of grip. They just wear out quicker.
