Movie editors (to mov-format)

I was wondering, which program was used in Matt Pate's videos in mov-format? Cause my MOV-to-WMV/AVI/DVD/MPEG/etc conventer is a real pain in the ass... so i though i need to edit my movies into mov. Any suggestions? (and yeah, i dont want to actually BUY a movie editor program)

PS... don't come and tell me to use Win Movie Maker shit.

I cant really understand what your saying, but he has a mac and probably used final cut pro or imove for his video.

he edits with final cut something on a mac...you can get really cheap things to convert to .mov, but i'll bet your converter is easier and more convinient
