Lately I have been realizing that I have a lot of enemies on this site, and IÃ?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¡Ã?¬Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¾Ã?¢m certainly not alone. I actually posted this thread two nights ago, and one of our bright and shining examples actuelly not only deleted the thread, but deleted my entire account! I can understand, I wouldnÃ?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¡Ã?¬Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¾Ã?¢t want to have to see this thread do well if I was an asshole tooÃ?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¡Ã?¬Ã?â??Ã?¦

There are a lot of very outspoken kids on this site, and I cant lie and say I am not one of them, and I think we all can agree that sometimes it just seems so right to say something negative or pessimistic or just plain out put someone down because they seem so do different then you or you think others will agree with you.

Its time to end that BS.

For most of the kids who have that habit it seems to goes beyond that. ThereÃ?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¡Ã?¬Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¾Ã?¢s a Ã?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¡Ã?¬Ã?â?¦Ã¢â?¬Å?trendyÃ?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¡Ã?¬Ã?â??Ã? little click thing that a ton of high schoolers do and I have seen it since I went to schoolÃ?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¡Ã?¬Ã?â??Ã?¦ Teenagers feel like if they are negative and say mean things to people they will have others group with them and agree with them and they all win at the expense of the person they are calling out. Targeting someone like that is fucked up. Especially when you have no idea who your talking toÃ?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¡Ã?¬Ã?â??Ã?¦

The point of this thread is to call truce. Not just for me personally, but I would love to see other kids who hate on each other give it up hereÃ?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¡Ã?¬Ã?â??Ã?¦ Im sure there will be a lot of negativity about this thread, but thatÃ?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¡Ã?¬Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¾Ã?¢s the point, we can see who just cant cope with reality, and who is mature enough to act like adults.

The point of this forum is to unite the scooter community.

ANYONE WHO SCOOTERS IS A FRIEND OF MINE. No matter what. Even if it doesnÃ?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¡Ã?¬Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¾Ã?¢t seem like it with the things I say, I NEVER EVER would say something that is a personal attack on something specific unless someone had already said something on those lines, then your damn well right IÃ?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¡Ã?¬Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¾Ã?¢m gunna rail them out for being naive and ignorant and negative, and frankly, retarded. IÃ?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¡Ã?¬Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¾Ã?¢m not perfect, and im not going to say I have never done that, and I say sorry at the end to two kids I can think of that I was a dick too.

BUT I KNOW FOR SURE that I would be happy to ride with every other rider on this site. HANDS DOWN.

Why would we as a scooter community divide ourselves and slow the sport down by railing each other out and turning ourselves against each other and making each other feel like shit. Its time to start giving either props, or constructive criticism, and its time to stop attacking people about serious, personal things. You donÃ?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¡Ã?¬Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¾Ã?¢t do that in the real world, so why do it in the fake world of this site? And even more relevant, you donÃ?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¡Ã?¬Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¾Ã?¢t do that to someone you donÃ?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¡Ã?¬Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¾Ã?¢t know. If you read something that you think is wrong or stupid, then wait to tell that person that until you can be a man and look them in the face and cll them out.

Lets add a respect factor that has never been there. I purpose that those of you who agree start calling out people for being negative and making them look like the child they are acting like. And I purpose you add something stating your positive expectation in your profile.

There is only a small portion of people actually doing something to help the sport.

I know i do all i can when i can. Andrew is a Pivitol role in our sport. Without SR most of us would have never have had met or talked to each other. If you want to help our sport then do something about. Don't just talk.

Oh that is so true. Andrew is by far the most influential rider. If there is ever to be a time when scootering is popular enough to make you money and the pros trully do go "pro", then those riders trully do have andrew brousard tto thank for it. He is not only a positive, hard working guy, he is talented and driven.

And Gascoigne your absolutely right. I have been dreaming of New Age Production for years now. If i wasnt tied down to a girlfriend and a child i would be living near broussard and starting to act on my ideas. Unfortunatly for now, i must stay in Maine. The best that i can do is encourage kids to share footie for street comps and ride tuns and tuns and be as positive and helpul as possible on SR.

If anyone would like to go into some sort of business adventure (magazine, website, production, parts manufactuering) and they need another with some money and drive, then you let me know...

also though, the point of the thread is to encourage kids to be mor epositive on SR....

Eh. If someone's a hater, no matter if he has any rational reasons or is just a plain idiot, he isn't gonna stop if you tell him to start being positive, and make it a big issue.

I guess that what happens shows the progression of the sport and the scene, I guess that any big skateboard or bike forum consists of little noobs, forum whores, people who post more then ride etc. The times when scootering was bound to the online scene and forums are left in the past, now nothing is gonna happen to the sport if someone comes on here and acts like an idiot.

There is no reason for this thread to be locked. No rules have been broken and he is trying to make a point. None of you know him so none of you have the right to criticize him and that goes for any other user on this site. RULE NUMBER ONE: RESPECT ALL RIDERS. So which of you is REALLY breaking the rules? If you KIDS feel it necessary to tell someone else how to raise theirs then you need to go get someone pregnate and get back to us in 18 years if you think you know how to raise a child the "right way". The bottom line is, is it is none of your business. We are here for scooters and nothing else so grow up.

Like Steven and Pete pointed out, there is no point in arguing on here anymore. The sport as a whole has grown far beyond this website. Don't get me wrong, I love Scooter Resource and it is my baby but I have accepted that it is nothing more than a resource to grow the sport, not the sport itself. Scooter Resource is here for the "noobs" not the veterans. You can still play a huge roll in the sport without consuming yourself with the online "scene" by working behind the scenes.
