How shuld I go about paint a Sr fork? I am going to spray paint its or it there any other good inexpensive way to do it other than powder coating, but if I do spray it how can it keep paint from chipping and peeling easy?

you get spray primer and spray it on first so they paint will stick and not chip so easy, then you spraypaint, then clear coat it. trust me

2-3 light coats of primer
3-4 light coats of color
2-3 of clear coat

dont do 1 heavy coat whatever you do, hold the can like 8 inches from what your painting, make sure you tape it off really good too, and shake it for a good minute before you spray.

A million coats of everything, that's the best you'll be able to do. And I would say hang the fork up (put a string through it and hang it on something) because then you can get every part of it and you won't have to worry about it touching stuff.

~clean it with a wire brush
~use like 3 coats of primer
~put as many coats of color as you can
~put as many coats of clear as you can
~make sure you wait like 20 min between each coat doing very light coats. people mess up painting by putting on thick layers.
~after youre done all your coats dont put your fork on for like 2 days to make sure it cures all the way.

i put lots of light coats of primer, paint.then i baked it in the oven on 350 for 15 min.then i sprayed clear coat on and then rebaked it for 20 min the paint was a bitch to get off though.
