what do you guys think of this?
personally, I see nothing special/cool about it

I have a feeling Phoenix have run out of ideas....... also i wish they could cover the front of the deck. But i guess simple can be good in some ways.

Like I said in the icandy thread, it isn't made to be something new, or something special.
It's made to be a nice affordable deck, that will accommodate for most peoples needs/wants.

180 is good compared to the price of a reventon, but im not ditching my ethic till i can get a decent 125 deck or ill make my ethic fit 125s

You'll definitely catch me on one of these. I love that they went back to the more low profile downtube. I have had nothing but luck with my v1, integrated and reventon decks, and this deck looks great. Simple, strong and cheaper than the last Phoenix decks.

Not a weight weenie by any means, but I'm curious to see how much this deck will decrease as Evan stated. Seems that most people's gripes about the Reventon was its weight and distribution.

I will miss the 6 degrees of concave!

Edit: a company taking a solid design and streamlining small things is far smarter than proving out an entirely new design. Reinventing the wheel isn't always the smartest choice and most likely causes more headaches than necessary.

This deck kicks ass. I was unsure about the concave until i felt it and now i prefer it. Its light but doesn't feel cheap or flimsy. Here's a blurry phone pic of my setup, weighs in at 9.0 lbs.

Sucks they didn't go for more sizes, I love my reventons size at 4.65 x 20.5 even at 4.5 x 21 would be ok but 4.25 is to small for 21 long. Sucks that it seems like they've tried to make it more appealing to a wider market by making it more like an ethic/district on the bottom and making it lighter and cheaper, which isn't a bad thing but I wish they kept the reventon type of rails on the bottom as districts and ethics don't grind as nice as a reventon. Definitely still getting a thresh though
