pinned fork

Pinning your fork refers to French ID forks by pinning them as to stop the fork legs being pulled away from the forktube as there's no weld there. Bus clamps are pretty much a clamp or stem, found on a bus haha. Some people make ghetto Buff bars with them.

Theres a pic of a pinned French ID fork. The pin bit is the hollow circle where the Frid logo is above the fork legs. Just need to drill through and pin it.

why doesnt fid just weld them?

would save people the hassle of doing that
Because they're made out of aluminum and welding it would more than likely make it significantly weaker.
