Please explain a Starnut

I have no idea what a star nut is and i would like to know. Please tell me.

The pictures pretty much sum it up. The object of a starnut is to give your forktube a place for a screw to go into. Like the starnut is now stuck in the fork(above) and you could screw your compression bolt into and since its stuck in the fork it makes it so you can put a compression bolt/screw in the forktube.

starnuts can be put into either the bars or fork. they are used to catch the threads of the compression bolt. they're an essential part of a functioning scooter. the picture that was posted sums up everything you need to know.
