can someone PLEASE clarify that using a bolt that's threaded all the way along (usually for deck reinforcements) as a back axle is BAD as it fucks up the inside of your bearings? I've been asking people with deck reinforcements if they do and everyone said yes, wtf!?? last time my mates took off his deck reinforcements, the inside of the bearings were proper messed up.THE BEARINGS NEED TO RUN ON SOMETHING SMOOTH, RUNNING BEARINGS ON A THREADED BOLT IS BASICALLY THE SAME AS RUNNING BRASS KNUCKLES ON A THREADED FORK, DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!! well???

erm, idk i used a threaded bolt when i had my box reinforcements on and there wasnt any problems and i rode them for a few months. I have got an unthreaded bolt now tho, i nicked it from the guys toolbox at the temporary skatepark in the holidays lol.

just get a 120mm 8mm bolt, If you keep the backend square.

ok that has NOTHING to do with what i am talking about

i am talking about having a bolt with thread all along it as supposed to the much better of having a bolt with just a bit of thread on at the end

I've used normal bolts for reinforcements, never ones that are threaded all the way though. I'm not sure about how it affects the bearings, but I'm pretty sure it's decently weaker.

I'm not sure what my back bolt is. Don't really care either. If it does wreck my bearings that's okay, I'm only running no-names anyway.

if u know how a bearing works it shouldnt matter in theory, the inner race should not be moving in the axle, the spacers are there to stop that

They're weaker but how would the thread screw up the bearings at all. Theres that metal inner ring thing and the threads dont touch the ball bearing or anything.
