Post Your Religious Beliefs

(cause danny wanted it)

well, I believe in God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross to save us. I think most of whats in the bible is true, but theres a lot of stuff you can't take literally, you have to find the lesson or moral in it. As far as evolution goes, I don't believe that we all descended from two people. I do think that adam and eve represent several groups of people, from which we did descend from. I believe in heaven and in hell. I'm not a really religious person, I don't really go to church.

thats it for now I guess.

p.s. i think it should be illegal for atheists to celebrate Christmas with gifts, haha.

<3.

I believe in god, but not really in the way that any major religion sees it. I don't see god as a he, or a she, or even a person. I don't really believe that god interacts with life on earth, i think he just kind of lets things be. I don't believe Jesus is god's son, i believe jesus was a saint, and i do believe you should live your life the way he said to, i mean its been taught for over 2 thousand years, of course thats how you should live your life. Also, i don't think anything in the bible really happened. I just think of the bible as stories to look at to further better yourself, they're fables pretty much. Theres no way you can take the bible literally, shit changes over time, and word meanings change as well. Who knows what they meant when half of that stuff was written, no sex before marriage? People got married at like 12 back then haha. I also think no matter what religion you are or what god you believe in, its all the same god. Now, i'm not too sure about heaven or hell, or reincarnation. So i'll leave that for now.

I believe that one shouldn't use the same thought schemes that we use all the time. when thinking about things that don't belong to this universe. Everything we know and we are used to think of is limited to this world, so we can't think the same way about what there is beyond. This is the same way you can't really imagine 4 or 5-dimensional geometrical objects, because you really have no idea of the general concept of a multidimensional hyperspace, cause what you live in is a 3-dimensional space with time.

Yes, but I like it.

And I have a question, to consider yourself "Christian", do you have to believe that jesus is gods son?

Yeah yeah yeah, whatever. Thats pretty much what seans other article said, what do you believe though, since that really doesnt have to do with your beliefs.

technically, yes. but that doesn't mean you have to believe he was the son of god follow his teachings.

jesus say's in the bible it isn't what you believe, or what you say you believe, its how you lead your life. alot of people seem to miss that part. if your actions are good then what you say you believe really doesn't matter at all.
