my friend has a nitro extreme with the new internal thread hic or something like that and he wants to get vertx forks so does anybody know if the new nitro extreme hic works with them ?

it should, but you will have to get a normal headset cap and put a starnut in the fork.

most vertx forks have a threaded insert anyways, read the description to find out, but i dont know if you will need a new shim or not though, i wouldnt think so but you never know

just get a few washers, and allen wrench bolt and cut down the shim and the vertx fork will install perfectly.

who cares if they have internal threading or not, you can run hic with any fork. the hic on the new nitros is no different then any other hic system. the only thing they did different is that the fork is internally threaded and comes with a top cap that threads in to replace the traditional starnut and top cap but it will still do the same job.

you guys really need to take a better look at your parts and figure out how they work instead of making all these threads...

Which ones? SMX? My mate just did it normally and worked fine.
