Old YAKS were made popular by the CSC guys. Mike Dies was the first guy to always rave about how good they were. Didn't take long for EVEYRONE to start riding 110mm Old YAKS. The urethane was perfect, the cores were perfect, and they were at that time, the fastest wheels on the market. Not to mention one of the easiest 110mm wheels to get for a super cheap price. Hope that answers your question.
