I asked this question DAYS ago in the wheel dyeing thread, but no one answered.
Will dyeing my wheels mess with the adhesive at all and make it easier to dehub?

I dont see how it would, but some people are telling me it might. Figured Id ask.

Lol sorry for spamming but I saw this on the home page and thought it said "Quick Question About Dying."

Lolol. sorry :)

but anyway I haven't heard of this happening. I reckon you just leave it to dry for longer than usual to be safe but I don't think this should be a problem.

Haha, that would be a messed up thread.

Yeah thats pretty much what I thought. I dont see how it would affect the adhesive, its not like the dye is super acidic (as far as I know).

A Lot of died wheels have donut de-hubbed, and I think it does damage the adhesive. I guess some people will say yes some people will so no, but in my opinion, yes it does.

Thats the only thing that would make sense to me.
Would it matter if I mixed the dye while it was boiling, then let it cool before putting the wheels in?

Im using RIT dye and 2 demon cores if that makes any difference.

For some reason i want to say yes. Because my friend has 2 protos (both startng to dehub) that were dyed and he really hasnt had them lond enough for them to even think about dehubbing.
