I think this would work, Vert-X Forks seem to be standard, if anything, the fork could be to long which would mean it would have to be cut at your local bike/scooter shop.

And he was wondering if the side of the fork would hit the headtube, obviously the forktube fits in the deck. I've never heard about any forks locking on FrId decks, but I'm not sure.
