RAD BARS

Alright I wanted to make this thread to let people know RAD bars aren't one of those things you can get right off the shelf. I keep getting way to many PM's AIM's Myspace Comments ECT. about them. Yeah i know its our fault for bringing them up, and for RAD being basically a 2 1/2 man company as the scooter community is growing everday who would have thought of the high demand. We just RE-started making them again and are getting them to the few who have been either waiting for asked a while back. We really never stoped making them we just hated dealing with the whole shipping, so we stuck wiht making them for local's. Now that i have decided to deal with the shipping part were still thinking everything over.
This doesn't mean there for sale its just a MAYBE and even if we do dont think it's gonna be easy getting them.

Really Dont know why i made this thread But i wanted it to get out there that if you are new or just join this forum and hear about "RAD BARS" and are like omg no way so friggin cool im gonna get some. Chances are its going to be very hard. So Before you go and make another thread about "How Do i get rad bars" or "Where so i get rad bars" Read this.

So in maybe a month or more who knows what will happen. Try and keep it off SR because of the past problems that have occured. We respect the rules and How Much andrew is doing and has done for the sport and want to keep it outta his way.

So basically to sum up this post Stop posting stuff about how to obtain RAD bars,aint trying to start shit but yeah, and have patcience young scooter riders.

so like if im not a local to you and i pay you through paypal for rad bars you arnt gonna give them to me cuz you dont want to deal with shipping?? i dunno my point is if some one wants rad bars and ask you for some and they PAY you for them then you should give them rad bars.

i forgot to say we are lazy well not we basically I its just a process that is very anoying when people cant finish it or just keep asking questing.

Why would someone pay if they know they are not going to get them?

If someone sent you the money before hand, including shipping costs, you could whip up some rad bars and get them off is basically what I think he is trying to say.

And that he has no motivation to try and supply goods to people who "say" they want rad bars in so and so size and then never go through with it and they have wasted time and money.

its not that we dont get the money from people its just that its in paypal and it cost 10-15 dollars to ship this and its hard to make money around here. yeah yeah get a job and that whole thing well if i have to get a job then you can get educationg and make your own.

I'm glad you wrote this thread. That'll give a lot of information. And i'm glad that i got my stuff pretty much right on time with no major problems and right before the pausing time where RAD crew announced that they will quit making bars for everyone.

Btw, if you meet Cory then tell him that the v2 bars are amazing. Super-solid, no dents and i haven't bent even a degree. I'm super satisfied that i made this investment. And if he asks me about the v1 with thicker tubing he made for me, then it's not being used yet although it has been powdercoated and taken care of.

I thought something like this might be happening. Everybody just asks for one and never go through with it. Heck, I would love some RADs, but I am way to lazy to do all of that stuff. But its nice that your announcing this anyway.

I\m not 100% sure, but I think one has thicker tubing than the other, ask madis is the best.

v1 were the first ones they made, its really simple, just a tube welded to the top of another tube. v2 came out later, i think they drilled a hole in the bigger tube and put the smaller tube through the hole and then welded it so it would be even stronger..

Old RAD bars. version 1.

Cory told me that he made my bars with thicker tubing so it won't bent so easy like the old v1 bars (Travis's for example). And my v1 was even made like 2 weeks after making my v2. It may still snap at the welding though, i don't know.

V1 have just a simple weld, handlebar welded on the steertube and the steertube is bent a little narrower at the top for the handlebar's diameter.
V2 have the handlebar pierced through the steertube and has a gusset under the handlebar. It also has a top cap which seals the steertube. Since they were made, i haven't heard from ANYBODY who have snapped those bars. I've heard that Cary only manage to put in some dents when throwing his scooter hardcore and hasn't bent. But that was a long time ago too.

I also know that when the v2 came out, only a few people got them. Those things are/were pretty rare, haha. I bet someone could all count all the people up pretty fast who've got V2s.

Plus, bars are made out of chromoly 4130 and may need 1-1/4" seatpost clamps, if you don't want you use a razor clamp with a shim made by Cory.

I know that fucking feeling......mine WAS A 1 Man company....at this stage...all my money is going towards Melbourne XGAMES and The States.

So basically "SS" is down for a while.
