Hey Guys. Im buying a scooter for a 11 year old. I dont know what to get him.

Razor Ultra Pro lo or MGP Team edition.

I personally like the razor because of its price and the quality
I dont know much about mgp team edition but I heard its heavy.

What do you guys think?

The razor actually comes with pretty decent plastic cores so you don't really need to buy him new wheels. I rode everyday pretty hard with them and they lasted for a long time.
I say go for razor.

who cares if hes 5 he could be a good rider
id say the razor ultra pro lo or the black label ultra pro cuz of the more upgraded parts and wont have to put money into it anytime soon!

That is the route I took for my Son who was 6 at the time.

RUP-Lo (I actually cut the bars down more)
ODI Grips
2- Cheap Metal core wheels
Deck Tape

Amazon bundle- I think it was $117.00 delivered to my door.

ToyrUs sells just the RUP for $99.00

It was actually his money that he had saved up from past birthdays X-Mas money and stuck in his Piggy Bank.

Of course now he wants Animal grips, Eagle wheels etc etc etc and Good lord it has to "DIALED"

Damn kids at the Local are brain washing him!!! :]

I agree on the Razor . I make scooter parts, Bars ,clamps, and forks . My kid is 8 and rocks a razor ultra pro . It is scs with stock razor forks , my bars , my flex fender , Odi grips , and metal cores . Razors are rated up to like 200 lbs but id say 100lbs or maybe 125 lbs is about it . go to emcam1 on you tube and see his scooter check . He says fuel bars and clamp . We changed the company name to Faxtion the other day so he says fuel in the vid. Kids with $400+ scoots ride my sons ultra pro and cant believe how it rides . Pm me if you need parts . I can tell you how to make the razor SCS or HIC and make it solid.
